PULSE is an artist run initiative, founded in February 2000 by South African artist Greg Streak. PULSE is linked to an international network of artist initiatives in other developing countries including Argentina, Brazil, India, Indonesia, Mali and Mexico to name a few. This collective matrix is known as the RAIN Artists’ Initiatives Network and is the brainchild of the Rijksakademie in Amsterdam, Holland. The aim of PULSE is to create a platform for dialogue and debate amongst cultural producers worldwide. PULSE creates projects around themes that are pertinent in context and that find resonance globally.

PULSE has produced large scale international projects annually since 2000. This aspect of the site is still in early construction and all projects are currently being distilled to be uploaded to the website. Please keep checking back for progressive updates.
